Lydia Lawson, special education coordinator, earns doctorate

Lydia Lawson, coordinator for special education, successfully defended her dissertation on August 3, 2023. She earned an Ed.D. in K-12 School Leadership from Regent University. Her dissertation is titled Faith-Based Private School Principals' Knowledge of Special Education and Their Self-Perceptions of the Services and Supports offered to Students with Disabilities enrolled in their Schools.

 

Lawson earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from James Madison University and a master's in special education from Cambridge College.

She has over 16 years of experience ranging from teacher to special education coordinator.
