HCS holds 13th Annual Rejuvenate Conference

Rejuvenate 2023 took place on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at the Hampton Convention Center. More than 300 HCS educators attended the conference with the theme: Masks Off, Hearts Open - Using SEL to Create Connection and Well-Being.  

This is the 13th year for the learning event. It is free, optional professional development offered to teachers prior to returning for the school year. This year, participants were offered 23 different concurrent sessions all facilitated by HCS educators. Participants selected three sessions to attend for a morning of hands-on learning. In addition, a new teacher track provided specific interactive sessions to support our newest educators.  

“This conference experience was phenomenal. The information and resources shared was so relevant. The conference atmosphere was one of community building, togetherness and meeting common goals and that was refreshing and REJUVENATING to start the school year,” shared Crystal Crumbley, school counselor, Kraft Elementary School.

Participants received swag bags and door prizes were sponsored by the Hampton Education Foundation.
