HCS musicians attend U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band concert

Select eighth grade and 12th grade music students attended a December holiday performance of our community partner, the U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band. 

Students listened to the performance of the professional instrumentalists and vocalists, spoke with the musicians, and had their questions answered about the many career opportunities, musical, technology, and the many others, available in the military.

The United States Air Force Heritage of America Band has a rich history of inspiring hearts and minds, building and sustaining American patriotism, and enhancing esprit de corps in the United States Air Force. For over 75 years, the band, located here in Hampton, VA, has represented the Air Force with musical and military distinction.

“We are proud of our continued and growing relationship with the Heritage of America Band. Each year we find new ways to engage with our military community and that makes all the difference as we prepare students to be career and life ready,” shared Kelly Dee, visual and performing arts curriculum leader.
