Ceremonial swearing-in of Dr. Raymond L. Haynes

Dr. Raymond Haynes was ceremoniously sworn in by the Honorable Judge Wilford Taylor (ret) at the July 12, 2023, School Board meeting at Jones Magnet Middle School. He was joined on stage by his daughter, family, and friends.

 

Haynes shared, “Today, I stand before you with great pride, humility, and a profound sense of purpose as your newly sworn-in Superintendent. It is an incredible honor to have been afforded this opportunity, and I am immensely grateful for the trust you have placed in me to lead this remarkable school division.

 

Growing up in this very community, attending school from my primary years through high school, and dedicating 28 years of my professional career to serving this school division, I understand the unique challenges and aspirations that define our educational landscape.

 

I firmly believe that education is not simply a means to an end; it is the catalyst for transformative change, a powerful force that shapes the lives of our students and empowers them to build a brighter future. With this in mind, my commitment as Superintendent is to foster an environment where every student, regardless of their background or circumstances, can thrive and achieve their highest potential. We will move forward together under the mantra of One Community, One Transformation, with a focus on excellence with intentionality.”

 

Haynes began his tenure as superintendent on July 1, 2023.
