State Farm sponsors annual Stuff the Bus event

 

State Farm Insurance and agent Mark Crump is sponsoring their Annual Stuff the Bus event to collect school supplies on Saturday, August 5, 2023, for Hampton City Schools students. The bus will be onsite at the Hampton Kroger, located at 1050 West Mercury Blvd., from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

 

“As a new school year approaches, we realize that many families struggle with having the means to purchase school supplies for their children. Unfortunately, this year, Virginia is not participating in the Tax Free Holiday. This means that more families will have greater needs for assistance this year,” shared Crump. “For the sixth year, our office is hosting a school supply drive to benefit the students of the Hampton City Schools. As a product of the Hampton City Schools, and a local business person, I feel that it is my responsibility to give back to my community.”

The Stuff the Bus event is held in partnership with School Board chairman Dr. Richard Mason and Kroger.

 

Donations such as composition books, folders, crayons, markers, paper, pencils, pens, notebooks, glue sticks, backpacks, etc. will be accepted.
