Students honored at 2023 academic banquet

Hampton City Schools proudly honored students from each of the four high schools for their academic accomplishments at the 2023 Academic Excellence Banquet. The banquet was held at the Hampton Landing Marina Hotel on May 25, 2023. Hard work and commitment to academic excellence earned these students special recognition.

 

The top two students from the freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior classes from each school were recognized, as well as additional seniors with outstanding SAT and/or ACT scores.

 

Natalie Parra, 2022 graduate and salutatorian of Kecoughtan High School, was the guest speaker. She shared her experiences from her first year at the University of Virginia and gave valuable advice to students as they embark on their college journey.

 

Each of the following students were presented with an academic medal by their principal, assisted by School Board Vice Chair Dr. Tina Banks-Gray, and Superintendent Dr. Jeffery Smith.
