Olivia Washington, a junior at Kecoughtan High School, gives opening at the June 7 School Board meeting

 

Olivia Washington, a junior at Kecoughtan High School, was selected to lead the Pledge of Allegiance and give the opening at the June 7, 2023, School Board meeting. She read a poem entitled Kindness by Carly Dugmore.

Olivia’s activities include Girl Scouts, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Youth in Government, and Student2Student Mentorship Program. Her favorite subject is math and her future plans include exploring computer science or a school of business.

Olivia’s parents, as well as Dr. Violet Whiteman, Kecoughtan’s executive principal, and the academy principals were in attendance.
