Hampton City Schools A Splash of the Arts! returns for a second year

Hampton City Schools visual and performing arts department presents the FREE A Splash of the Arts! series in conjunction with Arts for Learning, the Virginia Affiliate of Young Audiences. School-age children and families can interact with musicians, artists, actors, storytellers, dancers, and more. Each weekend has new programming. With the support of the Hampton History Museum and Downtown Hampton Development Partnership, the series will be held on three Saturdays in July.

Programs will be held on July 15 and 22 at the Hampton History Museum (120 Old Hampton Lane) and July 29 at the Hampton History Museum and Ruppert Sargent Building (1 Franklin Street). The events will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on each of the Saturdays and all are free of charge.

“We are excited to bring back this fun, diverse, and successful series for our families, the community, and the region. We are proud to work with the Hampton History Museum to provide these free, one-of-a-kind experiences for young people and families,” said Kelly Dee, HCS visual and performing arts curriculum leader.
